Miles plays electric and acoustic violin in a contemporary jazz pop setting. He shares the stage with his band making this CD more palatable than some sessions featuring violinists. Most of the songs are originals along with covers of "Sir Duke" and "Dance With Me". "Excellent Distraction" is radio friendly and sure to please smooth jazz fans. We were drawn to the Latin beats of "Mambo Number Miles", perhaps the best of the set. |
